MALAYAN ELECTRO-CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO., SDN. BHD. (MECI) is one of the leading manufacturer and distributor of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin and compound in Malaysia since 1973. Our production facilities situated at the Prai Industrial Estate, in Penang, is easily accessible by road, rail, air and sea. The modern and efficient infrastructure enables us to provide consistent supply to our customers and boost our competitive advantage among other players in this region. Additionally, our sales and marketing office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, not only helps to establish our local presence but also expanded our market to the Asia Pacific region.
Our PVC resin plant and processes adopt the technology from B.F.Goodrich Co., which was acquired under license from Nippon Zeon Co. Ltd., Japan (now known as Zeon Corporation). The production automation system utilizes the latest distributed control system (DCS) to ensure process efficiency and reliability which accounts for consistent high quality PVC resins. Likewise, our automatic batching system, European twin-screw extruders and palletising lines provide flexibility to produce myriad of excellent grade of PVC compound for wide range of applications.
MECION brand name is synonymous with quality for suspension PVC resin not only in the local market but also in Asia Pacific Region. Our resins are combined with selected chemical additives to produce versatile PVC compound. Both products are marketed under the  trademark. With over 30 years of experience, we are dedicated to the continual growth of the PVC downstream industries in Malaysia.
Using our vast experience and technical expertise in the PVC industry, MECI has ventured into other businesses in order to provide value-added services to its customers. We have recently embarked into the manufacturing and trading of thermoplastic rubber compound (TR) in Zhongshan City, Guangdong, People's Republic of China.
